Ioulia Floretzi was born in the city of Kavala, Greece, in 1998. She studied in the School of Fine Arts in the Aristoteleion University, graduating in 2021. Her work is an exploration of the nuances of femininity in everyday life, as well as one of feminism in Greece and the Balkan area. Her main mediums are crochetry and sewing, in parallel with a wider experimentation of fabric-made-objects, tightly connected with feminine labor and production. At this point in time she is based in Gothenburg, where she is completing a masters degree at the HDK-Valand School of Arts of Gothenburg University.
